It is important to note that HomeFirst, as a non-profit entity, receives a mixture of funding to support its mission from Community development block grant funds (CDBG) and other sources.  While HomeFirst has been able to provide services free from costs from our clients, in 2025 and 2026, HomeFirst expects to receive a decrease in funding and anticipates potential shifts in federal funding for local services and access. Due to this imminent shift in funding priorities, HomeFirst must respond by imposing a fee structure for our service and reducing its office/staff hours effective immediately and into the unforeseeable future. While HomeFirst recognizes that the need is evermore present and intense to provide access to and work towards ensuring clients maintain and attain affordable housing, HomeFirst regrets that our adaptations may directly and indirectly impact our clients and community. 

We encourage you to raise concerns about the future of public funding with your elevated officials from state, local and Federal levels and to request them to reconsider how funding shifts diverts help away from those that need it the most.
