Pre-purchase counseling tailors a personalized plan, step by step, to help you address any barriers or challenges that may prevent or delay your homebuying process.

This service is designed to provide you with a dry run of the mortgage application process. You will complete the standard application and our HUD-certified counselors will review it.  A determination of readiness will be made. If you are ready for homeownership you can request three referrals to our lending partners to get the mortgage process moving.

 

If you need to do a little more work on your credit, debt ratio or savings, we will be there to help you work through each issue. By partnering with HomeFirst and testing the waters, we are making sure that you are well equipped and financially prepared for your new home. We can also use this information to help you determine how much house you can afford and recommend other resources to make your dreams come true.
